Thomas is a 1-2 year old male Jack Russell. Thomas came in to the rescue as a un-claimed stray, so we do not have any history on this boy.
Since being in the rescue he has become a well loved member of the pack, by both humans and other dogs, he is good on and off the lead, he will grumble at dogs that pose a threat to him but he would rather run than fight, 90% of the time he is clean in the house however we do still catch him scent marking occasionally, but it is only a month since he has been castrated, he is good to be left for up to 4 hours and is crate trained.
Thomas loves his cuddles, he loves to play and loves his walks, he needs a home with no small animals as he is not good with these or goats, however he was fine with both the horses and the pigs!!
Thomas is only suitable to go with children over the age of 12 as we do not know his history.
Thomas is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered. If you feel you could offer Thomas a home either call 02380 893188 or e-mail info@allanimalrescue.co.uk

Rosie is a 4 year old Rottie cross Lab female. Rosie came in to us as her owner had to have major surgery on her arm and was no longer able to care for Rosie and give her the exercise she needed. Rosie is lovely in the house, good with children over the age of 12, not good with cats, good on and off the lead. Rosie is a well trained girl, however she does need a firm leader with set boundaries, she does not cope well with change so a new owner is going to have to understand that she is going to take at least two to four weeks to settle in to a new home, she needs regular exercise and she loves to chase a ball and is a real cuddle monster. Rosie can be left for up to five hours on her own.
Rosie is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered. If you feel you can offer Rosie a home either call 02380 893188 or e-mail info@allanimalrescue.co.uk

Hello Sarah,

Brian and i wanted to send you an email to say he is very happy
settled in Brighton – he has had a rename since he left All Animal
Rescue and has got a little large! But the exciting news is that we
discovered he is no ordinary cat! He is a turkish Van, a swimming cat
and one of the oldest breeds in the world! The funny thing is, if you
go to youtube for google images you can see lots of fat brians
swimming about! his breed explains his loyal following of me around
hte house and his habit of playing fetch and also his size ( they can
get get up to 19lbs!). These cats are known as cat dogs for their
funny doggy behaviour!

We would like to make a paypal donation – would you have a paypal
account attached to this email address?

Many thanks for all your hard work and for bringing us together. I
absolutely adore him! He comes to greet me at the door every evening
when i come home and has made some friends with the local cats, he
likes to sit in the hall and saying meow to passers by! very funny.
But he is very happy as a house cat, just as you said he would be and
his FIV sniffle/soggy nose has gone completely – altough he does still
snore!

Thanks again and love from us

Erica and Fat Bri.

Unfortunately in the storms at the end of 2011 a fallen tree destroyed our emergencies kennels. The kennels are vital to the work we do, we are only a small rescue and most of our animals live in foster homes until we find them new homes, however some dogs come in with contagious illness’s or behavioural issues that require them to be kept separated until they are ready to go in to a foster home. After the tree fell in November last year we hired a builder to come and assess the damage, due to the age of the kennels, we were recommended to have a full re-build, this would enable us to have dogs in these kennels all year round. We have been desperately fundraising doing freezing cold car boots, in-store days at pets at home and have only managed to raise £200.00 of the £2500.00 we require to rebuild. Even if you can only spare a £1 it all helps towards our huge total, there are several ways to donate, you can send a cheque to All Animal Rescue, 18a Faircross Close, Holbury, Southampton, SO45 2HR or use the donate button on our home page.
Thank you for taking the time to read our appeal and we shall give you weekly totals!

Hi Sarah!!

I thought I’d update you on how Dobby is doing. She has settled in beautifully and is very much part of the family! A cuddly little soul who loves nothing better than to snuggle up on the sofa of a an evening, preferably on your lap!! Her and Mia are best buddies as you can see in the pictures. We go for mega long walks in the Forest every day and she runs non-stop. She is very much a sight hound and quarters the ground trying to spring birds from the heather. It is hilarious because she then runs after them although they are about 30ft in the air, yapping in a high pitched voice. Her other obsession is trains!!! At Deerleap the trains blow their whistles and this is the cue for her to gallop alongside the high fence, yapping happily. She does this every time and never gets tired of failing to catch one!! I often wonder what the passengers think should they see this little brown dog cantering along! Luckily the fence is very secure and after about 50 yards she circles back with a very pleased expression on her face. She is a bit mistrustful of men so I think she might have been ill treated by a man at some point but soon comes around when she realises that no one is going to hurt her. She will bark briefly at men in the Forest occasionally, particularly if they are wearing something that covers their face or if they don’t have a dog with them but if I am by myself I think this is rather a comfort!

Dobby has filled out quite nicely but she will always be slender, I think. She loves our cats and can be found curled up in bed with Mia and Jasper, our Siamese who thinks he is a dog!

Thank you so much for allowing Dobby to become part of our family. I honestly can’t imagine life without her and we love her to bits.

Hope all is ok with you!

Kind regards as always

Sam Smith

Dear Sarah,

Thank you so much for the Christmas card and Newsletter. We are so sorry to hear things have been hard. We have made a small donation online, sorry it is not bigger but I guess every little helps.

Chilli is doing FANTASTIC !!!! He is so lovely and he is just the cat we were looking for. He is around all the time, just nips outside for short periods but doesn’t even venture out of the garden! As soon as we sit on the sofa, he is there like a shot, looking for a lap to sit on! The dog and Woody settled very quickly and although they don’t exactly cuddle up, there is mutual respect and so we couldn’t ask for more. I have attached a photo of Chilli who has found a new lovely spot to sleep, under the Christmas tree.

I have to be honest and say that despite our efforts, he doesn’t seem to have lost much weight. I do think he is lazy though which doesn’t help!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and keep you the brilliant work that you do.

Kind Regards,
Kerry Butler

Hi Sarah and co, thought we’d send in a few more pics of Tally to let you see how she’s getting on. She’s had her operation and been allowed outside for the last few months. We had a cat-flap fitted and she’s loving the freedom to go in and out. She’s also very settled in the house but hasn’t once slept on her cat cushion (preferring laps, sofas and beds!) Her and Murphy (the dog) are now fine with each other and she loves giving him a sniff and rubbing against his neck. She seems to have picked up alot of his habits like following us to the kitchen (in the hunt for food) and running to greet us when we get home. Her tail is constantly wagging and she’s definately found her voice. Hope all other re-homing is going well, all the best
Mel, Andrea and family x
