Dear Sarah & Sharon (please pass a copy of this to Sharon)
JADE, BLACK FEMALE MOGGY, DELIVERED TO US ON TUESDAY 5THJULY
We thought you would like to know how Jade is getting on. After a very shaky start Jade seems to besettling in reasonably well. She didn’t use her litter tray for 2 ½ days and eventuallyused the office floor to relieve herself so we decided to change the litter andthe tray and that seemed to do the trick. She will not use the cat-flap unless it is propped open and loves to runout of the patio doors up the tree back in over the furniture and repeat. She also still hisses at times and shows herclaws but we just say no and again that seems to do the trick.
Jade is still scared of various things but seems to enjoythe garden and the open door and continually returns to ensure that she canstill get in. She is always our bestfriend at feeding times and she eats like a horse.
I’m sure within time things will go from strength to strength. Jade is a very intelligent little girl andcan at times outwit us. She also lovesto play with a ping-pong ball and anything that moves like string or cat ropes.
We sometimes feel it is two steps forwards and one back butconsidering her past we feel that we have done the right thing and have noregrets. It is only three weeks and therefore early days.
For info:
When we checked the info entered at Petlog, they had Jadelogged as a fox terrier bitch. After writingto them and pointing out their error they upgraded us to Pet Premium. Perhaps everyone should go on-line and checktheir entry. All the details that you gave them were correct, it wastheir mistake and they have now corrected the details.
Thank you for Jade
Kind regards
A very grateful Tony and Glenda Evans

Coco
Hi Sarah, just a little pic to show you Coco, she has stopped hissing now, and becoming a lot braver by the day. Still not quite there with her jumping up to be with us but we do get the odd cuddle, when she is half asleep she’ll let us pick her up. My husband came back and immediately got her purring! So def a daddy’s girl! Haven’t let our boys interact with her yet, apart from single introductions to her which still causes hisses and hackles up on both parts! But slowly it will get better, especially after she is spaid. Well all for now, regards
Ali Dinsdale
Max and Paddy
Max and Paddy are two 3 month old self cream male guinea pigs. These two came in as there owner was no longer able to look after them as she had fallen ill. These two do not have a bad bone in there body, however they are more of a project as they are still a bit nervous when handles, however they are improving daily. These guys can either live inside or out, however if you have them outside, come winter they will need to be moved to a sheltered spot as they do not like the cold.
If you feel you could offer Max and Paddy a home call 02380 893188 or e-mail info@allanimalrescue.co.uk

Home Checks and References
We perform home checks to ensure that your home and the surrounding area are appropriate for the animal you wish to adopt. It is nothing to worry about: just an informal chat to make sure the pet you have chosen is the right one for you. Sometimes we will ask for a Vet reference, again this is nothing to worry about.
The Logistical Side to Home Checks
We will cover the costs of travelling to perform home checks within 30 miles of Holbury, Southampton. If you live further away than this and we are unable to arrange for a home checker from your area to come on our behalf, we can come and do the visit, however we do ask for a contribution to our travel costs.
Terms & Condition of Adoption
All Animal Rescue offers animals only to adopters who accept these terms and conditions. All Animal Rescue reserves the right to remove an animal if it is convinced that the owner has violated a term or condition.
1. The Animal’s Health: There is no guarantee that the animal is or will be free of disease or behavioural disorders. All Animal Rescue makes every effort to confirm that an animal is healthy and socially acceptable before homing it. We cannot, however, exclude the possibility of a lurking disorder in a particular animal.
2. Similarly, All Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the parentage, breed or age of any animal, nor in the case of a young animal, its future size or appearance.
3. The owner will notify All Animal Rescue immediately if an animal should become sick (e.g. diarrhoea) within two weeks of adoption. All Animal Rescue will then need to have the animal inspected by one of our own vets to discover whether a sick animal could have infected other animals in our care.
4. The animal will be fed, watered and maintained in good condition and have adequate exercise every day.
5. The animal will have regular veterinary health checks and routine immunisations at the owner’s expense. If the animal appears ill or injured, the owner must take timely advice from a qualified veterinary surgeon at the owner’s expense.
6. The owner will pay for young animals to be neutered at the appropriate age. Proof that this has been carried out will be required.
7. The animal will always wear a suitable form of identification, e.g. dogs must wear a collar with an identity tag.
8. Every change of the owner’s address will be reported to All Animal Rescue.
9. Any representative of All Animal Rescue will, at any reasonable time, be granted the access necessary to inspect the animal and their home.
10. If, for any reason, the animal has to be given up, it will be returned to All Animal Rescue.
11. If you already have an existing pet they must already be neutered & vaccinated unless there is a medical reason preventing it.
12. For animals that cannot be neutered they must not be bred from under any circumstances.
13. You must be over the age of 18 years to adopt an animal.
14. If you live in rented accommodation you will need a letter from your landlord giving you permission to keep a pet at your residence.
15. We are unable to adopt pets to people on State Benefits except where they relate to permanent sickness or disability.
