SPARKY HAS NOW GONE TO HIS NEW AMAZING HOME IN ANDOVER!
Sadly Sparky has come back after just 24 hours, sadly the current cat in the house loves their cat nip so it is on all the toys, scratching posts and beds. We have now learned that catnip makes Sparky wired and it is just not the right environment for him to be in. So he is coming back in to the rescue to go to a Cat Nip free home! Sparky is a black domestic shorthair neutered male. Sparky came in via the RSPCA and was in a really bad way, he was very underweight and suffering from massive fur loss as he was crawling with fleas.
Sparky is now flea free and he is hair is slowly growing back, the front half of him is almost there and the back end is catching up. Sparky is a very intelligent little cat, he has very nearly mastered the art of opening my bedroom door!! lol
This little man has been through hell and back and when you first meet him, he is very scared, but if you give him 10 minutes to come to you, there is no getting rid of him!! He is fab with other cats and is very submissive to our dominant female and he is happy to stand up to dogs, so I think he would settle in to a home that had a dog that was well used to cats. I feel there may be some oriental in Sparkie as he has a set of lungs on him and will happily chat to you all day. I think he could get used to a house with children 8+, but they would have to be very steady round him or I think he would just get scared and hide and that is no fun for anyone.
