Updated 10.08.17 – We have been doing a lot of work with Kiki since she came in, most of it was lack of trust in humans. Well what a difference a couple of weeks make! Kiki is now excepting of other cats, she is much better being the lower ranking cat and is very submissive to our dominant female! The best success we have had, is she is now showing affection to men, she was so scared of men when she first arrived! She spent the evening curled up on Ross’s lap last night purring away!
Finally she is now tolerating dogs, she has learnt that she is the boss of the dogs and that she has total control.I still think Kiki would suit an adult only home, with a couple who are willing to win her trust, but my oh my when you win it she is the most amazing cat you will ever own!
Kiki is a 18 month old neutered black female cat. Kiki came in to the rescue after being found as a pregnant stray. Her finder managed to find a home for all of the kittens but was unable to find a home for Kiki.
Kiki is fine with dogs that are good with cats and are calm, she is not great with other cats so would be better as an only cat. Kiki has obviously had a difficult start in life and can be a little nervous with new people, however she is fine once she gets used to you. However because of this we would not recommend her to go with children under the age of 16.
