Daisy is a beautiful 9½-year-old grey and white Domestic Short Hair looking for a very special retirement home.
Daisy first came into our rescue as a tiny kitten from a hoarding situation. Along with the other cats, she was underweight, under-socialised and living with the effects of chronic stress. Thankfully, Daisy found a wonderful home where she was adored by her family and spent the next nine years being loved.
Sadly, over the last five years Daisy began finding family life increasingly difficult. As the household grew, so did her anxiety. Her devoted owners did absolutely everything they could to help her feel safe and secure, but the arrival of their second child caused Daisy’s stress levels to become overwhelming. She began over-grooming, vomiting, toileting around the house and became very withdrawn.
With baby number three on the way, and every avenue explored, the heartbreaking decision was made for Daisy to return to the rescue so that we could find her the peaceful home she so desperately needs. This decision was made entirely out of love, because her owners wanted Daisy to be happy again.
The good news is that Daisy has shown us exactly what she needs.
Since returning to the rescue, where she has her own quiet space away from children and other pets, Daisy has been completely clean. The vomiting has stopped, the over-grooming has settled and, over the last week, she has started to show us her affectionate side, seeking out lap cuddles and enjoying gentle fuss.
Daisy is a delicate little flower who wears her heart on her sleeve. She isn’t a difficult cat—she’s simply a sensitive one. She needs a calm, understanding owner who will let her settle at her own pace without any pressure. Given the time and patience she deserves, Daisy will reward you with unwavering loyalty and companionship.

Although Daisy has previously enjoyed outdoor access, she is easily bullied by other cats. We believe she would be happiest living as an indoor cat. A secure catio would be the gold standard, allowing her to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air safely.
