π In Loving Memory of Milly π
Today we say goodbye to our beautiful girl Milly, a very special member of the All Animal Rescue family.
When Milly first arrived at the rescue with her lifelong companion Oreo, it was clear she had endured a lot. She was underweight, struggling to move, and suffering from severe damage to her front legs caused by an old traumatic injury and chronic arthritis. Even the vets were amazed she was still standing.
At the time, we prepared ourselves for the possibility that Milly might only have a short time left with us β but Milly had other ideas.
With pain relief, careful management and lots of love, she began to transform. She gained weight, her coat became glossy again, and before long she was playing with the other goats, running and jumping on toys.
Milly was a spicy, mischievous character who absolutely refused to let her disabilities define her. Despite everything she had been through, she lived life on her own terms and brought smiles to everyone who met her.
Because of her complex medical needs, Milly became a permanent resident at the rescue, where she could live out her days surrounded by care, comfort, and her beloved companion Oreo.
Milly reached the incredible age of 18 years old, and throughout her time with us she showed what resilience, determination, and spirit truly look like.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Beth at Robinson Equine Vet and Dental Surgery and Dan at Sarum Farm Vets for helping us care for this wonderful spicy old lady and ensuring she had the best quality of life possible.
Run free over the rainbow bridge, sweet girl.
You will always be part of the All Animal Rescue family.
