Sookie is a 7-year old black domestic shorthair neutered female.
Sookie came in to the rescue as she was placed with the wrong owner by the last rescue she was in. Sadly her owner was a bit of a worrier and became so worried about her hiding that she had made both herself and Sookie poorly.
Sookie is a lovely girl who wears her heart on her sleeve; she is very nervous until she is confident in her surroundings, at which point she turns into a cuddle-monster.
Sookie gets a lot of her confidence from her owner so she requires a new owner who is chilled and who will let her hide in her safe pod and come out when she is ready. If you are the type of person who would be worried about her hiding, then unfortunately you are not the right person for her.
Sookie is a simple cat to keep: she has her safe pod and if she is in it then we leave her alone and if she is out then she is usually chatting her head off and sitting on your lap! If you are happy to allow her to do this then you will be perfect for this sweet little girl!
Sookie needs a home with no resident children, dogs or other cats and with access to the outside: she doesn’t go far but loves to go out and sunbathe!!
