Dave is a 3 year old black and silver neutered male Miniature Schnauzer.
Dave coming in to the rescue was one of the hardest decisions for his owner, she was going through a divorce and with work and children, she just did not have the time and the funds to devote to his care.
Dave initially came in with another dog, however since we put him in to a foster home on his own he has flourished!! Dave is like a pup again so we are looking for a home where Dave will be the only dog.
Dave is very much a mans dog and would be ideal for a gentleman that is looking for a walking companion, he does like women, but the moment a man comes in the room he is off to them, he is good with children 12+.
Dave loves his walks and is good on and off the lead, great with other dogs and has now learnt to ignore the cows, horses and donkeys on the forest, the only animal he can’t seem to ignore is cats and just goes potty when he see’s one, so a home without cats or small animals is essential.
Dave can be left for up to 4 hours and is good to travel.
Dave’s only negative is that he can be a monkey to be groomed ( Our groomer thinks this has occurred from having a bad groom from an inexperienced groomer) , so it is essential that you have an experienced groomer as this breed needs doing at least every 3 months.
