Harry is a cross bred 2 year old neutered rabbit and Oreo is a dutch neutered male rabbit, these two are a bonded pair.
The boys came in to the rescue as their owner was unable to take care of them anymore due to medical reasons.
These two have been super well cared for, loved and well handled, which makes a lovely change. They are both happy to be picked up and cuddled and would make a great addition to any family.
As with all the rabbits from our rescue, we advise that these do not make great pets for children. Children lose interest fast and they end up as another thing for mum and dad to do in a rush.
However if the whole family is on board and you want to make it the families responsibility to care for them, they can be great fun. We have many families that enjoy nothing more than building new enclosures for them in the garden and building things for them to play in and then sitting back and watching them use their new enrichment, very similar to what they do at zoo’s.
Essentially here at the rescue we strongly believe a hutch is not enough, rabbits are super intelligent and really need stimulation, toys and enclosures to run around.
