Dolly- Has now found a new home in Banbury!!

Dolly is a 4 year old Saluki cross Whippet. Dolly came in to the rescue from a loving home where sadly her Daddy passed away.

Dolly is a lovely girl, she is super affectionate, good on and off the lead, great with children, very much a mans dog. Dolly is good with cats that are used to dogs, she is still a lurcher so if they are frightened and run she will chase them, but if they ignore her or tell her off she will avoid them and then in time actively become friends.

Dolly is good with other dogs, however she is very much a Saluki (very regal!) If dogs great her politely she will play and enjoy their company, however if they great her with too much energy and rudely, she will tell them off (With her deep chest cavity this can sound way worse than it is) She has nipped a dog when he invaded her space while she was on the lead and he was off the lead, he did not listen to her body language and vocalisations and despite us trying to get away the dog continued to try and play with her in a very rough manor.
Dolly however can be the naughty one, she loves to run fast and loves nothing more than other dogs running with her, when they slow down she has been known to nip them up the bum to try and get them to run again!! lol

Dolly has been brought up around chickens and horses and has never had an issue with them, she has also been brought up on the forest and the only animals she likes to chase are birds.

Dolly is good to be left for up to 4 hours, she has regularly gone to doggy day care in her previous home when her owner went to work and she loved it.

Dolly would suit a home with a male dog that she could play with and be the boss of, it would need to be an active home as she loves her walks and has done agility in the passed. A male owner in the home would be desirable and children over the age of 6.

Dolly is fully vaccinated, neutered, micro chipped and up to date with all flea treatment and wormer. If you feel you could offer Dolly a home e-mail [email protected]
