Flora’s Story

Flora’s Story

Flora was found as a stray in 2025 — with no ear tag, awful feet, poor body condition, and scared of everything. The kind person who found her was unable to keep her, so they asked if we could take her in.

Once she arrived, Flora was examined by our vet, who estimated her to be around five years old. She was wormed, vaccinated, ear tagged, and had her massively overgrown and infected feet trimmed and treated.

Flora is a very nervous character. We don’t know what she has been through in her past, so we’re giving her all the time she needs to decompress and adjust to her new life here at the rescue.

Flora arrived at the perfect time. Dec was still grieving the loss of his brother and had been feeling very low. From the moment Flora arrived, it was like love at first sight! Dec took her under his wing, showing her the daily routine and helping her build confidence. The bond between them has grown beautifully, and they are now inseparable.

Because of this special connection, we’ve decided that Flora will remain a permanent resident here with Dec.
