Hi Sarah!!
I thought I’d update you on how Dobby is doing. She has settled in beautifully and is very much part of the family! A cuddly little soul who loves nothing better than to snuggle up on the sofa of a an evening, preferably on your lap!! Her and Mia are best buddies as you can see in the pictures. We go for mega long walks in the Forest every day and she runs non-stop. She is very much a sight hound and quarters the ground trying to spring birds from the heather. It is hilarious because she then runs after them although they are about 30ft in the air, yapping in a high pitched voice. Her other obsession is trains!!! At Deerleap the trains blow their whistles and this is the cue for her to gallop alongside the high fence, yapping happily. She does this every time and never gets tired of failing to catch one!! I often wonder what the passengers think should they see this little brown dog cantering along! Luckily the fence is very secure and after about 50 yards she circles back with a very pleased expression on her face. She is a bit mistrustful of men so I think she might have been ill treated by a man at some point but soon comes around when she realises that no one is going to hurt her. She will bark briefly at men in the Forest occasionally, particularly if they are wearing something that covers their face or if they don’t have a dog with them but if I am by myself I think this is rather a comfort!
Dobby has filled out quite nicely but she will always be slender, I think. She loves our cats and can be found curled up in bed with Mia and Jasper, our Siamese who thinks he is a dog!
Thank you so much for allowing Dobby to become part of our family. I honestly can’t imagine life without her and we love her to bits.
Hope all is ok with you!
Kind regards as always
Sam Smith
Dear Sarah,
Thank you so much for the Christmas card and Newsletter. We are so sorry to hear things have been hard. We have made a small donation online, sorry it is not bigger but I guess every little helps.
Chilli is doing FANTASTIC !!!! He is so lovely and he is just the cat we were looking for. He is around all the time, just nips outside for short periods but doesn’t even venture out of the garden! As soon as we sit on the sofa, he is there like a shot, looking for a lap to sit on! The dog and Woody settled very quickly and although they don’t exactly cuddle up, there is mutual respect and so we couldn’t ask for more. I have attached a photo of Chilli who has found a new lovely spot to sleep, under the Christmas tree.
I have to be honest and say that despite our efforts, he doesn’t seem to have lost much weight. I do think he is lazy though which doesn’t help!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and keep you the brilliant work that you do.
Kind Regards,
Kerry Butler
Hi Sarah and co, thought we’d send in a few more pics of Tally to let you see how she’s getting on. She’s had her operation and been allowed outside for the last few months. We had a cat-flap fitted and she’s loving the freedom to go in and out. She’s also very settled in the house but hasn’t once slept on her cat cushion (preferring laps, sofas and beds!) Her and Murphy (the dog) are now fine with each other and she loves giving him a sniff and rubbing against his neck. She seems to have picked up alot of his habits like following us to the kitchen (in the hunt for food) and running to greet us when we get home. Her tail is constantly wagging and she’s definately found her voice. Hope all other re-homing is going well, all the best

Well, how quickly a year has flown by! I’m very well and happy living here with J+J, not forgetting Georgia and the 3 cats. I’ve made lots of doggy friends and enjoy walking in the nearby woodland, sometimes we go to the beach as well! Hope everyone at All Animal Rescue has a very Happy Xmas and a Happy New Year!
Lots of Love,
Tully x
Dillon is great, we don’t know how we ever managed without him. There is not a day goes past when he doesn’t make us laugh, he is becoming a lot more confident now, he is also completely spoiled – but he’s absolutely worth it. Please feel free to call in to see him anytime, (we’re not very good with photos or computers!) When we eventually lose our other dog, who is 16, we may well be in touch for a companion for Dillon.

Hi Sarah and Ross
I hope you and the animals are well.
Just a quick note to update you on Dylan, he is an absolute dream and we love him! The first couple of days he was a nit nervous and obsessed with food, to the point he would bolt it down in one go and then was sick! He is much calmer now and we brought him a special food bowl which has humps in it to slow him down. He is also rather partial to apples and although we have picked every one of them from the trees he still manages to find them from them in the hedges!
We took them both for a long walk on Sandbanks beach last weekend and discovered he loves to swim.
He had another check up at the vet last week and all his lumps and bumps have all healed up nicely and he is now the weight he should be at 32kg,
I think that’s it for now except to say thank you for rescuing him and for allowing us to be his new “parents” He has brought us such joy and love and is now very much one of the family as you will see from the photos.
Love and best wishes Nicolette, Richard, Kindi and Dylan
